Mike Wren, a three-year letterman for coaches Tates Locke and Darrell Hedric, helped lead Miami to two MAC titles, two NCAA Tournament berths and one appearance in the National Invitation Tournament. The two-time second-team all-MAC selection set Miami records for free throw attempts and free throw percentage in an NCAA Tournament game when he made 12 of 13 free throws (.923) against Notre Dame in 1969. He led the team in free throw shooting that season, hitting 86 of 104 (.827). Wren ranks among Miami's Top 10 in career free throw shooting percentage with a .763 mark (135-208).
