Myers, a 1982 Miami graduate, is the only female athlete in Miami University history to have her jersey number 20 retired. She is the all-time scoring leader for women's basketball at Miami with 1,600 points from 1979-82. In Miami's record book, she is still the leader with nine steals in three different games and holds four season records with 523 points, 130 steals, 136 free throws made and 185 free throws attempted. She ranks second on Miami's career list in steals with 336.
Honors include being selected to Kodak's All-Region 5 team; first-team All-Mid-American Conference, twice; All-OIBCA (Ohio Intercollegiate Basketball Coaches Association of Intercollegiate Sports for Women), four times. She was voted Miami's Female Athletic of the Year for 1981-82. After serving as an assistant basketball coach at Miami in 1983-84, she became the athletic director for women and the women's head basketball coach at Ashland College in Ohio. She also served as the head women's basketball coach at UNC-Asheville in North Carolina.
