Hall of Fame
As a four-year starter at first base from 1982-85, Mark Manering placed himself in the top-ten in almost every offensive category. His career .347 batting average places him seventh still on Miami's all-time list. He still ranks near the top in RBIs, total bases and doubles. He ranks fifth all-time with 208 hits, one of only seven individuals all-time at Miami to top 200-plus hits for their career.
In both 1983 and 1985, he was given All-MAC First Team honors. He also was named to the All-District IV team in 1983, while helping Miami win the MAC tournament. In 1993, Manering was inducted into Miami's Athletic Hall of Fame.
