Hall of Fame
Jim Thomas was a three-year letterman on the Miami basketball team from 1956-59. He was a starter for three straight MAC championship teams, which also made three trips to the NCAA tournament. In 1958, he was selected first-team all-MAC. Thomas scored 904 points while at Miami, averaging 11.9 points per game.
After graduating, Thomas remained a prominent citizen of Oxford where he practices dentistry. He has also been a radio analyst for Miami Basketball on WOXY-FM. Thomas joined Miami's elite in 1993, as he was inducted to the Athletic Hall of Fame.
