Jim Muething

Muething was a two-time men's golf first-team All-MAC selection in 1984 and 1985.
A three-time letterwinner, he won the MAC Individual Championship in 1984. He shot rounds of 70-72-74-68 to take the tournament championship in Ravenna, Ohio by two shots over fellow teammate Mark Brewer. Muething followed that up by capturing the Cincinnati Met and the Ohio Amateur within weeks of each other in 1984.
He was honored for his strong academics after his senior season, becoming the first Miami golfer to be named a Scholar All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Muething went on to serve as a head pro at Merion Golf Club for several years.
