Greg Sullivan, who lettered as a defensive end from 1976-78, was an honorable mention all-American as a junior and senior and became just the sixth player in Miami history to earn first-team all-MAC honors three times. As a senior, Sullivan was Miami's defensive MVP. He led Miami with 14 tackles for loss (-126 yards) and seven pass deflections and finished third on the team with 113 tackles.
Miami posted a 10-1 record and won the MAC championship his junior year. As a sophomore, Sullivan was third on the team with 107 tackles and second on the squad with seven tackles for loss (-36 yards).
