Frank Lukacs lettered in basketball at Miami from 1966-69 MAC championship squad in scoring and was named the team's MVP. During that season, Miami upset 10th-ranked Notre Dame in the first round of the 32-team NCAA tournament.
Considered one of college basketball's best defenders at the time, Frank held Notre Dame's Austin Carr, the leading scorer in NCAA history at the time, to eight points. In 1968-69, Miami played Kentucky in the inaugural Millett Hall game with Frank tallying 29 points. He earned first-team all-MAC accolades as a senior.
