Don Weaver "Red" Emery

Don Weaver Emery earned three letters in each cross country and track. He never lost a cross country meet and helped Miami capture the Ohio Conference meet in 1925 and both the Ohio Conference and Buckeye Conference meets in 1926. In NCAA track competition he finished fourth in the two-mile run in 1926 and eighth in the mile in 1927.
Emery served as captain of the cross country team his junior and senior years and captain of the track team his senior year. Emery taught and coached at Cleveland Lincoln High School until he retired. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1977.
