Diana Friedli earned four letters as a goalkeeper for Miami Field Hockey during the 1983-1986 seasons. She holds the season and career records for most shutouts, with 11 and 19, respectively.
A 1986 All-MAC first team selection and team captain, Friedli still ranks fourth in program history in career goals-against average (1.05), and posted three of the top seven season marks in that category as well (.747 in 1983, 1.00 in 1984, 1.07 in 1986). Her 0.747 GAA in 1983 still ranks as the best single season GAA in program history.Â
Friedli is the first defensive player or goalkeeper from Miami Field Hockey to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
