Danny Hall lettered in baseball at Miami from 1974-77. A 1977 co-captain, he garnered second-team all-MAC honors as a junior and senior, earning the team's Golden Glove award as the top fielder both seasons. During his senior campaign, the second baseman hit .325 after batting .358 his junior year. Danny was a member of Miami's 1974 MAC championship team and the 45-15 1977 team that each advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
After his playing stint at Miami, Hall remained with the program as a graduate assistant for two seasons under Bud Middaugh. He went on to become Coach Middaugh's assistant coach at Michigan for eight years, head coach at Kent State from 1988-1993 where he won two MAC championships and was two-time MAC Coach of the Year, and head coach at Georgia Tech since 1994 where he's the all-time winningest coach in any sport in Georgia Tech history. Danny has guided the Yellow Jackets to five ACC championships, 20 NCAA tournament appearances, and College World Series berths in 1994, 2002 and 2006.Â
