Bryan Pownall

A four-year award winner in track and cross-country, Bryan Pownall was a member of three Mid-American Championship teams while at Miami. He was a four time NCAA qualifier and earned All-American honors with his 32nd place finish at the 1980 NCAA Cross-Country Championships. Pownall became Miami's last individual cross country champion when he captured the 1980 MAC Cross Country Championship.
He also won MAC Championships in the 5,000 meters in 1980 and in the 10,000 meters in 1981. Pownall was a five time all-MAC selection in cross country and track and was named Miami's Male Athlete of the Year in 1981.
