Bob Brown ended his career with a total of 1,277 points, following his career he was formerly ranking third in points. He also was formerly ranked second in field goals made (505) and is still tied in ranking ninth for field goal attempts.
During the 1946-47 season he scored 437 points to rank fifth in the nation. His top scoring performance also came that year as he established a Miami record at the time with 39 points against Evansville. He earned all-Ohio honors as center in both 1946-47 and 1947-48.
He was also selected to the Converse All-America team and received honorable mention on the Chuck Taylor All-America team. Brown is currently the regional sales manager for Kaiser Steel.
He remained active in University affairs, and served as president of the Houston, Texas, alumni club. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972.
