Barb Ramsey excelled in three sports during her time at Miami, and was part of the first intercollegiate athletic seasons in softball, volleyball, and basketball.
On the diamond, she hit .523 as a senior with six home runs and 30 RBI. She led Miami Softball to a 23-3 record over her final two seasons (including a 15-1 mark in 1976), and was known as not only a power hitter but also a gritty defensive player and strong leader.
In all, Ramsey amassed 11 letters during her Red and White athletic career: four in softball, four in volleyball and three in basketball.
