FRONT ROW FEATURES

Sept. 30, 2025 (Hockey): Letters and Leaders
Anthony Noreen and his coaching staff knew exactly what they were looking for as they began to build the 2025-26 Miami Hockey roster.
"First and foremost, [we wanted to] get our culture right…making sure that if we are going to bring a player in here, they are highly-competitive and high-character," Noreen said. "If you look at the group of guys that we brought in, that is the resounding theme amongst all of them…you see a lot of guys that wore letters on their previous team."
The result? The 28-man roster for the RedHawks this winter includes 18 different players who have previously served as a captain or assistant captain (whether with their junior team or in college).

Sept. 18, 2025 (Football): Bai Jobe's Difficult Goodbye
Bai Jobe came halfway around the world from Senegal to pursue his dreams of playing in the NBA. He knew nothing of the sport of American football besides that it somewhat resembled rugby. Now, Jobe is a defensive end for the RedHawks and getting ready for the first home game of his Miami career.
Find out how Jobe ended up at Miami --and the emotional significance behind the No. 22 he wears-- in the newest Front Row Feature.

Aug. 27, 2025 (Soccer): Teaming Up Again
Former Lyons Township High School (Ill.) teammates Katie O'Malley and Caroline Mortonson are teaming up again this fall with Miami Soccer. Although Mortonson (a freshman in this 2025 season) was the first of the two to commit to the RedHawks, O'Malley (now a junior) transferred in from Illinois State a year ago largely on the recommendation of her younger, former/current teammate.
Get to know the tandem and what they hope to accomplish with the Red and White this season in the newest MiamiRedHawks.com Front Row Feature.

Aug. 22, 2025 (Football): Set Your Alarms: The Kenny Tracy Story
Kenny Tracy, the most versatile and experienced returning player on Miami Football's offense, has an alarm set for basically everything in his life.
Most of those have to do with taking care of his body so he can help carry the load for the RedHawks in 2025.
With the season kicking off in just a few days, Tracy talks about his approach to leadership, his willingness to do whatever the coaches need, and what it means for him to finally be healthy coming out of fall camp in the newest Front Row Feature.
Aug. 12, 2025 (Football): 'Let it Fly': The Hudson Powell Story
"It's attention to detail and repeatability: It's being as close to perfect as possible, which is impossible."
Miami long snapper Hudson Powell had a whirlwind 2024 season, including earning a starting job, going on scholarship, recovering a muffed punt at Notre Dame, and snapping for the game-tying and game-winning kicks in a dramatic overtime triumph over UMass.
In the newest Front Row Feature, he explains his approach to perfecting his craft (along with a step-by-step breakdown of what he's trying to accomplish on every single snap).

July 31, 2025 (Volleyball): European Trip Springboards Miami Volleyball Into 2025 Season
When Miami Volleyball begins practicing for the 2025 season next week, don’t be surprised if the newest RedHawks are significantly ahead of schedule.
Second-year head coach Dan Gwitt said his program greatly benefited from being able to travel to Greece and Italy together for 10 days earlier this summer. Hear from Gwitt, freshman Molly Creech and senior Ellie Hanson about the RedHawks' experience in Europe and how the team's time overseas should help Miami when the regular season (including a highly-anticipated home opener against Ohio State) gets underway this fall.

July 24, 2025 (Football): MAC Football Media Day: Behind the Scenes at Ford Field
Go behind the scenes with quarterback Dequan Finn, safety Silas Walters and head coach Chuck Martin at the annual Mid-American Conference Football Media Day in Detroit. The event at Ford Field serves as an unofficial kickoff for the 2025 season, which the RedHawks hope will lead to a berth in the MAC Championship Game in the same venue 19 weeks later.

May 30, 2025 (General): Back on Top
When the Mid-American Conference announced this week that Miami University had won both the 2024-25 Reese Trophy (honoring the top men's program in the conference) and the 2024-25 Jacoby Trophy (recognizing the MAC's top women's program), it officially capped what will be remembered as one of the greatest years in Miami Athletics history.
The Red and White claimed 10 titles over the past academic year, marking the most Miami has ever won in a single year, and won the Reese and Jacoby in the same year for the first time since 2019. Miami director of athletics David Sayler and head coaches Iñako Puzo and Travis Steele talk about what has made the RedHawks so successful in the newest Front Row Feature.

May 21, 2025 (Baseball): 26 Runs, 20 Years and One Big Dogpile
The Miami University baseball team entered the final game of its regular season knowing it needed to win to earn a share of the Mid-American Conference title.
And with the stakes at their absolute highest, the Red and White came through…in one of the wildest games in recent program history.
In a contest that lasted four hours and 20 minutes and featured a combined 44 hits and 42 runs, the RedHawks took down Ball State 26-16 in Muncie, Ind. Saturday to claim a 10th straight conference series victory and win the regular-season MAC crown for the first time in 20 years. Now, top-seeded Miami looks ahead to the conference tournament, with a chance to earn an NCAA berth and experience yet another 'human dogpile' two decades in the making.

May 19, 2025 (Synchronized Skating): 'Anything Could Happen': How Miami Skating Saved Its Best For Last
"Even though our season was filled with some difficult mountains to climb and lessons to learn, I think that's what Miami Skating is: You do it together. We're all in this and we fight for it as a family."
After a difficult start, the Red and White capped the 2024-25 competitive season on a high with a collegiate national championship and a senior silver medal in Colorado Springs, Colo. at the U.S. Championships. In the newest Front Row Feature, the RedHawks' coaches and skaters share about their journey and what they learned while looking ahead to 2025-26 and an exciting future.

May 13, 2025 (Softball): 'Pass the Bat': Inside Miami Softball's MAC Tournament Title
The Miami University softball team had its work cut out for it last Saturday afternoon in Akron.
But the RedHawks responded to bury rival Ohio in back-to-back games and win the MAC Tournament for the fourth year in a row behind impressive hitting and dominant pitching.
Now Miami sets its sights on the Knoxville Regional of the NCAA Tournament --where Miami Softball past and present will collide-- as the RedHawks attempt to make program history and advance to the Super Regionals for the first time ever.

May 8, 2025 (Baseball): A Day in the Life: Nick DeMonica
From a 600-level engineering class to a scouting meeting (complete with clips from Rocky IV!) to baseball practice to the weight room, spend a day with Miami senior pitcher Nick DeMonica and get to know the Cortland, Ohio native in the latest edition of MiamiRedHawks.com's all-access 'Day in the Life' series.
May 1, 2025 (Baseball): 'It's All Worth It': The Hayden Senger Story - by Blake Furnish
After seven long years in the minors, 402 games and 1,549 plate appearances, former Miami University catcher Hayden Senger officially made his MLB debut on March 27, 2025 in the New York Mets' Opening Day game. Even though it took longer than he might have expected, Senger's hard work since leaving Oxford (including a second job at Whole Foods) is paying off.
Having reached the goal that millions of baseball players growing up can only dream of, Senger reflects on how far he's come in this Front Row Feature.
April 24, 2025 (Football): Joining Forces: Dequan Finn Hopes to Lead Miami to Special Season
Veteran quarterback Dequan Finn takes the snap, looks for a receiver downfield, and then scrambles to try and elude the Miami pass rush.
Where have we seen this before? But wait, something's different.
This is not a Toledo-Miami game in 2023. Finn isn't trying to score a touchdown and defeat the RedHawks at Yager Stadium. He's not battling against the Red and White for a MAC Championship trophy at Ford Field. Instead, it's a weekday afternoon in April 2025, and Finn is wearing RedHawk practice gear.
That's right. The player sporting a gray Miami No. 1 jersey and racing around Ben Roethlisberger Field is Miami's new QB1.
April 17, 2025 (Tennis): Zalukar, Senior Class Hope to 'Finish Strong and Get the Ring'
When Sara Zalukar arrived at Miami in the fall of 2021, she had never met her new teammates, never been in the same room with her new coach and never visited her new home. But she had nothing to worry about.
Four years later, Zalukar is part of a five-member senior class from five different countries that has bonded together to earn a pair of MAC East regular-season titles...with a shot at the MAC Tournament title (and an NCAA Tournament berth) coming up April 24-25.
"It's been nice having that journey with them the whole time," Zalukar said. "We really want to finish strong and get the ring."
April 10, 2025 (Golf): Heading Home: Podobinski Leads RedHawks Into Columbus
Whenever the Miami University golf team tees off in Columbus, Ohio, it feels like a homecoming for junior Brett Podobinski. Podobinski is a native of Dublin, Ohio (a northwest suburb of Ohio's capital city), went to Dublin Jerome High School, and grew up playing at The Country Club at Muirfield Village in Dublin before joining the RedHawks.
And if that's not enough of a full-circle storyline as the RedHawks prep for this weekend's trip to Ohio State, Podobinski only has to look across the course at his head coach, who will be feeling quite at home himself. That's because JD Fletcher is also a native of Dublin, Ohio, went to Dublin Jerome High School, and grew up playing at The Country Club at Muirfield Village in Dublin before joining the RedHawks.
Talk about a small world.

March 19, 2025 (Swimming & Diving): 'Inching Closer': The Madeline Padavic Story
As a freshman, Madeline Padavic swam a 53.91 at MACs in the 100 backstroke and took fifth. Her sophomore year, she finished third, posting a time of 53.58 as Miami hosted the meet. Last season, she improved her time to 53.26 at the conference championships and came in fourth.
This year? Padavic finally accomplished her goal, setting a new pool record, a new program record, a new MAC Championship record and a new Mid-American Conference record. She now owns each of the top 10 times in program history in the event, and will represent Miami at this week's NCAA national championships in Federal Way, Wash. to cap off a remarkable career in the pool for the Red and White. Not bad for someone who arrived in Oxford as a butterflyer! Get to know Padavic and learn about the impact she's made (and the legacy she's leaving) in the newest Front Row Feature.

March 11, 2025 (Men's Basketball/Women's Basketball): Turning the Corner: Inside a Special Season for Miami Basketball
The upward trajectory around Miami Basketball has been obvious. The results are showing in 2024-25. Between the men (23-8 record) and women (19-10), Miami Basketball has already accumulated 42 victories this season. That's tied for the highest total in school history and represents a remarkable 18-win improvement from 2024-25.
This will be the first time since 2018 that the Miami men and women have both made it to Cleveland for the postseason in the same year, and both teams head to Rocket Arena knowing they're only three wins away from March Madness. Hear from head coaches Travis Steele and Glenn Box about what has made the difference for Miami Basketball in 2024-25 and how gratifying it's been to be part of a climb where both teams are building toward success at the same time.

March 6, 2025 (Men's Basketball): Alumni Spotlight: Chet Mason - by Emily Siderits
Chet Mason, the 2005 MAC Defensive Player of the Year, has continued to make an impact in basketball since graduating from Miami University. The former Miami Men's Basketball standout played overseas for a number of years, spent time with his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, and is now a successful hoops coach. He owns two gold medals as an assistant with USA Basketball junior teams and, in a full-circle scenario, one of his former high school players is part of the current RedHawk squad.
Catch up with Mason in the newest MiamiRedHawks.com Alumni Spotlight and find out what advice he had for the 2024-25 RedHawks heading into the MAC Tournament in Cleveland.

Feb. 22, 2025 (Men's Basketball): 'Swiss Army Knife' Suder Helps Will RedHawks to Comeback Win
Peter Suder wouldn't let his team lose.
The RedHawks' junior guard spoke up in the timeout huddle, helped rally Miami Men's Basketball to overtime and scored his 1,000th career point on a memorable night at Millett Hall in front of more than 6,000 fans and a national TV audience.
Find out what Suder had to say --and how he backed up his words when the game against Kent State resumed-- in the newest Front Row Feature.

Feb. 20, 2025 (Cross Country/Track & Field): Pursuing Peak Potential: The Abby Suszek Story
Abby Suszek has been named MAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the last four weeks in a row. Since the calendar has turned to 2025, she's broken the school indoor record for the 200 meters, the 300 meters, and is hundredths of a second away from the mark in the 400 meters (which could happen in her next race!).
Check out the newest Front Row Feature to learn how Suszek, a senior from Mentor, Ohio, has dedicated herself this season to maximizing her potential on the track in her final year as a RedHawk.

Feb. 6, 2025 (Softball): The Power of Perspective: The Chloe Parks Story
Chloe Parks wants to be a nurse. In fact, that's one of the main reasons why she chose to play softball at Miami University. "I really wanted to do nursing and this was the only school that said, 'We can make it happen,'" she explained.
Parks' passion for pursuing a career in nursing has been a constant in her life since seventh grade. That's when her mother, Stephanie, passed away from cancer at the age of 38. "There was nothing I could really do to help her. So my whole thing was, after her, I needed to go help people in any way I could."
Now, heading into her senior season with Miami Softball, Parks shares about her perspective and approach to life --on and off the diamond-- in the latest Front Row Feature.

Jan. 23, 2025 (Swimming & Diving): Undaunted: The Henju Duvenhage Story
Henju Duvenhage has never been one to shy away from a challenge. Whether it's traveling more than 8,000 miles from home to become a Division I student-athlete, earning a degree in Biomedical Engineering, helping Miami Swimming and Diving win four straight men's MAC team championships, or claiming 10 individual MAC titles, Duvenhage has risen to meet every challenge he's faced.
Now he's focused on the 'drive for five', trying to help the RedHawks win yet another conference crown. He also has a legitimate chance to become the first Miami men's swimmer since 2007 to qualify for the NCAA Championships. Daunting challenges, to be sure. But Henju Duvenhage has never been one to shy away from a challenge.
2024 FEATURES
Dec. 19, 2024 (Football): Learning to Lead: The Brian Ugwu Story
When Brian Ugwu entered the transfer portal in the spring of 2022, he wasn't sure what he was going to find. After only appearing in three total games —all in a special teams role— during three seasons at Rutgers, and coming off an ACL injury, Ugwu didn't have a lot of highlights to share with prospective suitors, just a few practice clips.
However, he found a home in Oxford, Ohio with the RedHawks. Ugwu has appeared in 40 games for the Red and White, earned All-Conference recognition twice and moved into the top five in program history for career sacks (20.5). He has also grown as a leader during his time at Miami, and his memorable postgame speech to the RedHawks after Brett Gabbert's injury in October 2023 set the stage for a five-game winning streak that culminated in the program's 17th MAC crown.
Now, with a degree in one hand and a championship ring on the other, Ugwu reflects on a pivotal chapter in his life as he prepares to play his final college game, the Arizona Bowl on Dec. 28.

Dec. 4, 2024 (Swimming & Diving): Memories, Rings to Highlight Special Swim/Dive 1980s Celebration
The Miami University women's swimming and diving teams of the 1980s were a dynasty, capturing seven straight MAC championships from 1982 to 1988. Miami Swimming and Diving will recognize the accomplishments of that record-setting era on Dec. 7, when dozens of former student-athletes from four decades ago return to campus to receive championship rings on the final night of the annual Miami Invitational.
What made those teams so good? What do the alumni remember most from their time wearing the Red and White? Find out in the latest MiamiRedHawks.com Front Row Feature.

Nov. 12, 2024 (Hockey): Alumni Spotlight: John Malloy
Which is a more difficult tryout to get through – auditioning to be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune or attempting to make the famous 1980 U.S. Olympic ice hockey team?
Miami University alumnus John Malloy ('80,'81) should know. He was in the mix for both.
But while Malloy didn't get picked by coach Herb Brooks for America's Team and ended up watching the 'Miracle on Ice' at home, he had far better luck this year when it came to America's Game. Malloy, a captain on the first-ever varsity Miami Hockey team in 1978-79, recently appeared on the October 23 episode of Wheel of Fortune as part of the television show's Halloween-themed week.

Nov. 8, 2024 (Men's Basketball): Miami's Newest Shot-Maker Perfecting His 'Craft'
1,222 days after Kam Craft committed to play college basketball for head coach Travis Steele, he finally did.
That three-plus-year journey didn't play out exactly like either Craft or Steele would have predicted back in July 2021. Steele, then the head coach at Xavier University, is now in his third season leading the Miami University program. And even though Craft still ended up joining Xavier after Steele's departure, he suffered a knee injury during the Musketeers' 2022-23 season and played only four more games over the next year and a half before entering the transfer portal.
However, the two men reunited this spring when Steele earned a recruiting commitment from Craft for the second time. So when the Miami RedHawks' 2024-25 opener tipped off at Appalachian State Monday night, Craft was wearing the Red and White, with Steele on the sideline shouting encouragement.
And it didn't take the 6-6 wing long to make up for lost time.

Nov. 1, 2024 (Cross Country/Track & Field): Alumni Spotlight: Jake Bertelsen
Last week was one Jake Bertelsen will remember for a very long time.
The Miami University graduate (who owns Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering) had his first-ever article published in the Applied Thermal Engineering journal.
A proud moment, to be sure. But not the only one Bertelsen enjoyed last week.
Why? Because in his spare time, the former Miami University student-athlete (who spent five years with the RedHawk cross country/track and field program) also won the Columbus Marathon.

Oct. 30, 2024 (Synchronized Skating): Skating Into a New Era
"It's a new era of synchro…and we're just trying to really hone in on that Miami Skating style."
Go behind the scenes with the Miami University synchronized skating teams as they prepare for their 2024-25 competitive season, the first under the leadership of head coach Katey Nyquist and assistant coach Sammie Levine. How does a perennially elite program uphold its successful standards and tradition while also continuing to evolve into the future?

Oct. 24, 2024 (Women's Basketball): Playing for Her People: The Tamar Singer Story
Some days, 100% of Tamar Singer's mental focus is on basketball practice.
After all, the 5-foot-4 freshman point guard has plenty to learn from head coach Glenn Box and his staff about what it takes to succeed and win at the Division I college basketball level. There are a myriad of concepts, plays and details to memorize and fine-tune before the regular season begins Nov. 4.
However, there are other days in the gym where Singer's mind is a million miles away. Or, to be precise, 6,000 miles and seven time zones away.
That's because the native of Haifa, Israel is doing her best to balance being a student-athlete in the midwestern United States while her family is enduring a war in the Middle East.

Oct. 17, 2024 (Soccer): A Day in the Life: Kylee Beinecke
When a Miami Soccer student-athlete —who's used to being busy literally all day long with sports and school— suddenly has some unexpected free time on her hands, how in the world will she spend it?
Go behind the scenes with senior forward Kylee Beinecke for an all-access look at a RedHawk matchday.

Oct. 9, 2024 (Hockey): Frozen Four Familiarity
It's often said that there is no substitute for experience.
So as Miami Hockey enters the 2024-25 season looking to climb back toward the NCAA Tournament a decade after its most recent appearance in the event, the Red and White will lean on three players with Frozen Four experience who have already 'been there, done that.'
Ryan Sullivan won the 2021 national title with UMass, while Christophe Fillion's Quinnipiac Bobcats claimed the crown in 2023. Colby Ambrosio finished as national runner-up in 2024. Now the three veteran forwards team up in Oxford with the goal of building on Miami Hockey's proud tradition as a new era gets underway.

Oct. 3, 2024 (Field Hockey): 'Taking That Step': The Nicky Sjouken Story
Nicky Sjouken wasn't even expecting a response to her email.
When Sjouken, a freshman goalkeeper on the club field hockey team at Miami, sent a note to the RedHawks' varsity coaching staff to see if she could practice with their program in the spring of 2023, she didn't think anything would come of it. (Spoiler alert: Something did!)
18 months later, Sjouken is starting in the cage for the RedHawks and has played every minute this season. Learn about her journey from the club team to a perennial powerhouse that's won 13 MAC titles (regular-season and tournament) in a row in the newest Front Row Feature.

Sept. 29, 2024 (Football): Hero or Zero? Why Dom Dzioban Became a Kicker
As Dom Dzioban waited to attempt a game-tying 47-yard field goal on the final play of the fourth quarter Saturday afternoon, two rhyming words kept repeating inside coach Chuck Martin's head.
Hero or zero?
And when the clock hit zero in Miami's Homecoming game, Dzioban was the hero.
Sept. 26, 2024 (Volleyball): Crawford, RedHawks Set for Success

There have been quite a few unique venues and events on the Miami Golf schedule in recent history.
In 2024 alone, the RedHawks participated in the prestigious Calusa Cup in Naples, Fla. (April 7-9) and will make their second consecutive appearance at Hawaii's Kapolei Invitational in Waikiki to close the fall slate (Oct. 29-31)
However, Miami's next trip is one for the record books…literally.

Sept. 5, 2024 (Football): Space Traveler: How Cade McDonald Keeps Getting Open
Hall of Fame baseball player Willie Keeler was known for his philosophy of 'Hit 'em where they ain't.' In fact, the 19th-century batting champion has that famous quote etched on his plaque in Cooperstown, N.Y.
Miami Football's Cade McDonald seems to have a similar approach, albeit in a different sport. The RedHawks' redshirt senior wide receiver has a knack for finding space on the field and escaping would-be tacklers, whether he's piling up extra yards after a catch or making multiple opponents miss on a punt return.
"I just know where the defenders are at and I try to go where they're not."

Aug. 22, 2024 (Volleyball): Finding Their Fit: Francis, McClure Ready to Make an Impact

Pitter, the former associate head coach at the University of Pittsburgh, spent a total of three and a half weeks alongside Pitt swimmer Jayla Pina in France, helping Pina prepare for and compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Aug. 7, 2024 (Football): Wise Hopes to Lead RedHawks to Repeat
December 2, 2023 at Ford Field ranks among the greatest moments and memories of Ty Wise's football career to date.
The linebacker from Carmel, Ind. made eight tackles in the Mid-American Conference title game as the Miami RedHawks took down No. 23 Toledo 23-14 to claim the program's 17th all-time MAC championship.
But Wise isn't satisfied with the championship ring he won in 2023. He wants another one.

July 31, 2024 (Women's Basketball): Gonzalez Ready to Make a Difference Offensively for Miami
As a freshman at Mercer, Enjulina Gonzalez proved she was a talented scorer, pouring in 34 points in a single game. Going 4-1 on the weekend. Turning heads in a seven-inning thriller against No. 1 Oklahoma on opening day at the Sooners' new $48 million stadium. Seeing the MAC career home run record shattered. Getting on SportsCenter. Becoming the first RedHawk team to visit Miami, Okla.
On many different fronts, last week proved to be a historic one for Miami Softball.

February 29, 2024 (Softball): 'Play On': The Jenna Golembiewski Story
During her freshman year, Jenna Golembiewski appeared in roughly half of Miami's 58 games, starting just nine, and produced a .240 batting average. By the end of her sophomore season, Golembiewski was named the 2023 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year. Golembiewski has picked up right where she left off in 2024, homering in six of Miami's first 11 games as the RedHawks —who lead the nation in home runs per game— have jumped out to a 9-2 start.
And each time Golembiewski hammers the ball over the fence and rounds the bases, she points to the sky.

February 23, 2024 (Men's Basketball): Bradley Dean's Whirlwind Day
Bradley Dean had a busy day last Saturday. He spent the afternoon putting up a season-high 15 points as the RedHawks blasted Ball State 80-59 at Millett Hall. Dean came off the bench to go 4-of-9 from the floor, including a trio of three-pointers, and finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the foul line. The junior guard scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half to help the Red and White outscore the visitors by 20 points after intermission and win their sixth conference game of the season.
Later that night, he was courtside in Indianapolis to watch his best friend, Mac McClung, win the NBA Dunk Contest title for the second straight year.

February 22, 2024 (Women's Basketball): Daily Double-Double: The Amber Tretter Story
In the final game of her high school career, Amber Tretter made the game-winning shot.
A lot has changed in the past year for Tretter. She's had to adjust to a different level of basketball as a Division I student-athlete, playing in the Mid-American Conference, joining a new program with a first-year head coach and a brand-new team, and being away from home as a first-year student at Miami University.
However, sometimes —as the old cliché says— the more things change, the more they stay the same.

February 15, 2024 (Baseball): Alumni Spotlight: Buddy Schultz - by John Walsh
On April 3, 1971, Wright State was on the wrong side of a dominant performance. On the right side of it stands Buddy Schultz, 26 strikeouts later. You read that number correctly, and if you didn't, here it is again: Twenty-six. A nine-inning baseball game has 27 outs per team, and nearly every single one for the visitors on that memorable day was a 'K.'
More than a half-century later, Schultz's complete-game shutout of the Raiders remains one of the most incredible pitching performances the game has ever seen and one of its most untouchable records.

January 30, 2024 (Men's Basketball): 'A Jumper Can Take You Far': The Darweshi Hunter Story
Most basketball players dream of hitting a dramatic buzzer-beater once in their lives.
Darweshi Hunter has done it three times for Miami... in the last six weeks!
Get to know the RedHawks' graduate student captain as he prepares to battle his previous program, Northern Illinois, on Feb. 6 in Oxford.

January 11, 2024 (Hockey): Thank You, Andy Geshan
When Miami Hockey opened the 1995-1996 season with a pair of games at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, Calif., Andy Geshan was not there. The newly hired Miami equipment manager had a good excuse; he and his bride were on their honeymoon.
But by the home opener that fall in Oxford (Oct. 20, 1995 vs. Michigan State), Geshan was behind the bench.
And he's still there today.
