David Shrider Biography

David Shrider received a B.S. in business from Miami University in 1992. He returned to Miami, joining the Farmer School of Business in 2004, after earning his PhD from the University of South Carolina.
His research focuses on the behavior of investors with particular interest in how past fund performance affects the trading behavior of mutual fund investors. Shrider teaches corporate finance and investments at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Prior to his graduate work, Shrider spent seven years in the investment business with Merrill Lynch and Nuveen/Flagship mutual funds in Dayton, Ohio.
He and his wife Beth (Miami ‘93) reside in Oxford with their two sons Ben and Andrew.
