CINCINNATI-Five members of the Miami Athletics Family will take part in the Eighth Annual March of Champions on July 20 at The Cincinnati Gardens. Miami head football coach Terry Hoeppner and head men's basketball coach Charlie Coles will make presentations, and three former RedHawks will be award recipients.
Hoeppner will help recognize former football standouts JoJuan Armour and Andy Aracri, who are being honored for their achievements on the football field and in the Cincinnati Community. Hoeppner also will be presenting Elder High School Football Coach Doug Ramsey with the High School Coach of the Year Award.
Coles will be presenting several awards to various athletes, including women's basketball standout Heather Cusick. Cusick, a May 2003 graduate, is being recognized for earning Miami's 2001-02 Female Athlete of the Year Award.
The event is sponsored by The Cincinnati Gardens and the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks with proceeds benefiting the March of Dimes' mission improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.
Along with the awards ceremonies, there will be a silent auction and various photo opportunities. For tickets, please contact the March of Dimes Office at 513-769-3588. Price of admission, which includes food, beverages and entertainment for the evening, is $45 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under. Tables of eight are available for $435.
