Senger had a strong week at the dish for the RedHawks as he helped the team to a 3-1 record. He hit .333 while belting two home runs and a double. Senger also collected a team-best five runs batted in and four runs scored as Miami earned a midweek victory over Cincinnati on Tuesday and took two out of three on the road at Western Michigan. Senger is hitting a team-high .345 on the season and ranks first in doubles with 16.
This the second time this season in his career that Senger has been named Miami's Male Athlete of the Week. He last won it for the week of March 26-April 1.
Slone led the Miami offense as the RedHawks scored 32 runs in Buffalo last weekend. Slone's impressive weekend was highlighted by a three-hit, two-RBI performance in the final game of the weekend, reaching base five times that game. Slone led the RedHawks' starters with a 1.083 slugging percentage, .571 on-base percentage, 13 total bases, five RBI and two home runs. Slone also scored three runs while hitting .500 on the weekend with six hits.
This is the first time this season and in her career that Slone has been named Miami's Female Athlete of the Week.
