RedHawks Recognized as Doubles and Singles MAC Players of Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Monday afternoon the Mid-American Conference announced Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek and Malu Oliveira as the MAC Doubles Team of the Week. They also released that Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek was voted MAC Singles Player of the Week.
Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek and Malu Oliveira went 2-0 on the week. The pair played at the No. 2 spot beating Bowling Green 6-0 on Friday and Buffalo 6-1 on Sunday.
Denysiewicz-Slowek finished the week 4-0, winning two matches in doubles with Oliveira and two at the No. 1 singles spot. In singles, Denysiewicz-Slowek beat BGSU, 6-4, 6-0 on Friday, and Buffalo 6-1, 6-0 on Sunday.
These RedHawks victories helped the team beat BGSU and Buffalo 6-1, giving them a 3-0 record in MAC regular season play.
Miami tennis returns to action Friday, March 28, at 12 p.m. in Bowling Green, Ohio to take on the Falcons.
