Chandler, Cuthbertson Named Miami Athletes of Week

For their performances last week, Maya Chandler and Hayden Cuthbertson are Miami's Athletes of the Week, presented by Skyline Chili for the week of March 10.
Female Winner: Maya Chandler
Maya Chandler averaged 20.0 points, 2.5 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals for Miami Women's Basketball this past week. She shot 51.7% (15-29) from the floor and 46.7% (7-15) from long range. Chandler opened the week with 15 points and four assists versus Central Michigan and added a career-high 26 points on 11-of-19 shooting in a Senior Day win over Northern Illinois. She also committed just three turnovers in 75 minutes of action. Chandler is a graduate student from Martinsville, Ind. and owns a Bachelor's degree in Economics from SMU.
Male Winner: Hayden Cuthbertson
Hayden Cuthbertson recorded the win Friday during Miami Baseball's 5-0 victory over the Toledo Rockets, pitching six shutout innings during his start. Cuthbertson gave up just three hits and one walk during his 82-pitch day, during which he struck out six Rocket batters. His strong outing led Miami to a 1-0 start in MAC play against a talented Toledo team. Cuthbertson, a junior from Ladner, British Columbia, is an Economics major in the College of Arts and Science.
