
Stainton Named MAC Special Teams Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Miami's Pierse Stainton has been named Mid-American Conference Special Teams Player of the Wee for the first time in his career.
The junior had his best game as a member of the RedHawks, averaging 55.3 yards per punt in Miami's 44-30 win over Eastern Michigan last Saturday. Stainton, a native of Sarasota, Fla., recorded a career-best 65-yard punt versus the Eagles (was downed at the EMU 4-yard line) and added a 59-yard boot later in the contest.
Stainton and the RedHawks return to action this Saturday at home versus Western Michigan. The contest is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
