Miami University swimming and diving coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron was named Men's Swimming Coach of the Year by the Mid-American Conference at the final day of the Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday, March 5. This is her third time receiving this honor at Miami.
Bonewit-Cron led the RedHawks through a successful 2021-22 season, including the second consecutive MAC Championship win for the men's team and a third place finish for the women's team. Across the season, the women's team won five single-day meets and took first in the Miami Invitational. The men's team also won at the Miami Invitational, alongside picking up four single-day meet wins.
This is the second year in a row Bonewit-Cron has been awarded Swimming Coach of the Year, having also been awarded following the men's MAC Championship victory in the 2020-21 season. She had previously been honored during the 2018-19 season after the men's team took home their first championship win since 2006.
Alongside Bonewit-Cron, diving coach Jason Glorius was named Men's Diving Coach of the Year and Miami diver Jackson Miller was awarded with both Most Outstanding Diver and Freshman Diver of the Year. The RedHawks continue their season with the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, beginning Monday, March 7, and running through Saturday, March 12.
