Football Announces 2019 Schedule

CLEVELAND, Ohio --Â Miami University's football team, along with the Mid-American Conference, announced its 2019 schedule this morning. Miami's schedule is highlighted by two games versus Big Ten opponents.
Miami unlocks the season with four straight non-conference opponents. The RedHawks open the season with a trip to Iowa (Aug. 31). The following week, they host Tennessee Tech (Sept. 7) before back-to-back road games at arch-rival Cincinnati (Sept. 14) and Ohio State (Sept. 21). Ticket information to both UC and OSU will be available later this Spring.

Miami opens conference action with a home game versus Buffalo on Sept. 28. Other home MAC games include contests versus Northern Illinois (Oct. 19), Bowling Green (Nov. 13) and Akron (Nov. 20). The Tennessee Tech contest will serve as Homecoming and the game versus NIU will be Family Weekend.
The RedHawks travel to Western Michigan (Oct. 12), Kent State (Oct. 26), Ohio (Nov. 6) and Ball State (Nov. 29) in conference play. There is a possibility that the Ball State contest will get flexed to Saturday, Nov. 30. The official game date is expected to be finalized before June 1. On Nov. 6, Miami plays at Ohio on the actual date of the 150th anniversary of college football. It will be the lone nationally televised game that evening
Season tickets are on sale now. For five home games, fans can purchase chairback seating for $248. Other prices include $132 (Premium 50-yard Bench Back), $121 (Premium Bench and Premium Bench Back), $115 (Red Zone Bench), $220 (Family Zone), $122 (Faculty/Staff Band Parent – Premium 50-yard Line Bench Back), $111 (Faculty/Staff/Band Parent – Premium Bench and Premium Bench Back), $105 (Faculty/Staff/Band Parent – Red Zone Bench). Miami begins spring practice on March 10 and holds its Spring Showcase on April 20.
Game times and other themes will be announced at a later date.

The RedHawks finished second in the East Division last season with a 6-2 record, including three straight wins over rivals Ohio, Northern Illinois and Ball State to close out the year. Over its last 22 games, Miami ranks first in the conference with a 16-6 record and has been bowl eligible in two of the past three seasons.
