Harding had eight tackles and a career-high 3.0 tackles for loss last Saturday in the contest versus Eastern Illinoi. Harding was part of a Miami defense that forced two turnovers and held the Panthers to just 316 yards of offense.
This is the first time this season and second time in his career that Harding has been named Miami's Male Athlete of the Week. He previously won it for the week of Oct. 20-26, 2014.
Tomasic earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after leading the RedHawks to a perfect week and a tournament championship at the Auburn Invitational over the weekend. She had 41 kills in four matches, an average of 2.73 kills per set. She hit an impressive .317 from the right side. Tomasic also had 11 block assists, an average of 0.73 per set. She scored 46.5 points on the week. Against Xavier, she had 10 kills and three blocks in a 3-1 victory. In Miami's big 3-2 victory over the host Auburn, Tomasic tied a career-high with 16 kills and had two blocks. She made only two errors in 34 attempts for an attack percentage of .412. Tomasic finished off the week with 10 kills and a career-high five block assists in a straight set victory over Memphis.
This is the second consecutive week that Tomasic has been named Miami's Female Athlete of the Week.
The next Miami Athletes of the Week will be announced on Monday, Sept. 19.
