OXFORD, Ohio - Third year head football coach Chuck Martin has announced that the 2016 RedHawks will have a redefined look when they open the season at Iowa on Sept. 3. Announced this morning (June 27), the RedHawks will wear new uniforms for the upcoming season.
Two different helmets, jerseys and pants can be mixed and matched to create several different looks for the team in 2016. Players' names will also be listed on the back of each jersey. The RedHawks will feature an all-red, all-white and interchangeable red and white tops and bottom uniform combinations. In addition to the expanded colors, new helmets and fresh look, the school's logo appears on the state of Ohio on the front of the helmet. "We are always looking for ways to do new and exciting things for our current players but also any possible recruits" said Martin. "Adidas has been a great partner for Miami Athletics and was a huge help in making this happen."
The team was informed of the new uniforms on Monday morning inside the Farmer School of Business. The specific team video and player reactions will be available later tonight at MiamiRedHawks.com.
These uniforms bring significant, change replacing the previous jerseys worn from 2013-15 and return Miami to a more traditional look.

"Our mission is to make all athletes better and Miami's new premiere compression system uniforms allow athletes to perform at their highest levels, while showcasing a look that appeals to fans and recruits."
Fans looking to purchase branded football gear for the 2016 can do so now. The Miami Bookstore, located in Oxford, Ohio, is selling replica red and white t-shirts and mini helmets. Replica jerseys will be available at retail stores in the Fall.
Season tickets remain on sale and are available for purchase by calling (513) 529-4295 or by clicking HERE. Fans can obtain chairback seating for $125. Other prices include $105 (general public/bench), $85 (youth) and $95 (faculty/staff/band parent/senior citizen). Miami is offering a Family Plan, which includes four season tickets for $220, located on the East side of Yager Stadium. The October 1 game versus Ohio is Miami's annual Family Weekend contest, which features a Family Foursome package for just $80. That package can be purchased by calling the Miami Athletic Ticket office or by clicking HERE.
