LOUISVILLE, Ky. ÃƒÆ'Ã†'Â¢ÃƒÆ'Â¢'Â¬" Miami University's women's tennis team closed out its fall schedule with the third and final day of the Louisville Classic with another round of singles versus the University of Louisville.

A trio of RedHawks posted singles victories on the final day of the fall slate. Sophomore Anzhelika Shapovalova wrapped up her fall schedule with a win over UL's Tiffany Huber in straight sets (6-0, 6-4). Junior Nelli Ponomareva brought home a win for the RedHawks after she defeated Sena Suswam in a battle of a match (6-4, 6-4). The third win for the Red & White came from senior Andreea Badileanu, who topped Olivia Boesing. Badileanu dropped the first set, but then rallied past her opponent to win in three sets (4-6, 6-4, 6-2).

Miami was also represented by junior Hannah Shteyn who dropped a three-set match against Louisville's Mariana Humberg (6-4, 5-7, 6-4). Sophomore Emily Struble was defeated by Ariana Rodriguez (6-3, 6-2) while junior Erin Rodriguez fell short in her match against Aleksandra Mally (6-1, 6-0).

The Red & White are off until they return to begin their regular spring season with their opening match against Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Fla. on Jan. 13, 2017.
