Miami's Armand Robinson Signs with Steelers

Former Miami receiver Armand Robinson has signed an undrafted rookie free agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He joins three other newly Steeler-signed Mid-American Conference players, including tight end/halfback Vaughn Charlton from Temple, wide receiver Terrence McCrae from Ohio and center Colin Miller from Central Michigan.
Another veteran Steeler player who Robinson will now call a teammate is All-Pro quarterback Ben Roethlisberger who played for Miami from 2001-03.
Robinson reports to Steelers camp today (July 28).
Robinson capped his RedHawk career with a game-winning effort at the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Jan. 6, 2011. Versus Middle Tennessee State in the post-season game, Robinson caught four passes for 81 yards, including a career-best 70-yard catch, and carried the ball four times for 23 yards. For the 2010 season, he had 94 grabs (1st on Miami's single-season list) for 1,062 yards (5th) and six TDs. Robinson averaged 6.7 catches for 75.9 ypg.
He had seven 100+ yards receiving games during his career. His four-year totals were 210 receptions (No. 2 on Miami's all-time list) for 2,500 yards (4th all-time) with 15 TDs. Robinson caught a career-high 11 passes for 111 yards in the 2010 season opener at Florida. Against Colorado State, Armand grabbed a 62-yard touchdown pass. He was a member of Miami's Leadership Council.
