Twelfth-ranked Boise State entertains Coach Michael Haywood's Miami RedHawks this Saturday evening (8 p.m. ET) on the famed blue turf in Boise, Idaho.
The RedHawks will attempt to rebound from last Saturday's 42-0 loss against Kentucky at Cincinnati's Paul Brown Stadium.
The game will be available live online via ESPN360.com -- ESPN's signature broadband sports TV network. The game is available completely free to any student on campus--in fact, to any student on any U.S. college campus -- nearly 18 million people). To link to ESPN360.com, go to http://www.espn360.com. Anyone on Miami's campus network can view the game live online, and will allow anyone who has a high-speed internet connection through one of ESPN's affiliates to access it as well.
Boise State is led by Head Coach Chris Petersen, who is in search of his third conference title since taking over the program in 2006. In three seasons at the helm Petersen has compiled a 35-4 overall record, including a 23-1 record against WAC opponents.
Petersen's 12th-ranked Broncos defeated No. 16 Oregon last Thursday, 19-8, at home. Boise State dominated the statistics with more first downs (22-6), more rushing yardage (164-31), more passing yardage (197-121) and more total offense (361-152).
All-star quarterback Kelln Moore completed 19-of-29 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown against Oregon. His top receivers were Austin Pettis (6-66 yds, 1 TD), Titus Young (5-46) and Kyle Efaw (4-54). D.J. Harper (88 yds) and Jeremy Avery (74) were the leading rushers.
Boise State's secondary, expected to be one of the team's biggest strengths this season with a group that returns four out of five starters from a year ago, was led by DBs Winston Venable and Kyle Wilson against Oregon.
Kicker/punter Kyle Brotzman converted one-of-three field goal attempts (45-yarder) and averaged 43.7 yards per punt against the Ducks.
Boise State will play a second MAC opponent on Sept. 26 when it travels to Bowling Green.
